Mint, scientifically named Mentha piperita, is a plant with a refreshing aroma and a slightly spicy, yet cooling taste.

This plant is extremely well-known for its healing properties, its leaves being used both fresh and dried, for cooking or for infusions. Popularly, it is also known as good mint, garden mint, camphor, or vaeșniță. The plant has uses not only in the pharmaceutical field, but also in the food and cosmetic industries.

About the producer:

The Cosul cu Fructe Farm is located in Podgoria commune, Oratia village, Buzau County. S.C. COSUL CU FRUCTE S.R.L. was founded in 2012, out of the desire to share all that is best in natural products, cultivated and cared for with love and responsibility. The farm owns and operates, according to organic farming standards, an area of 6 ha of cultivated fruit bushes (currants, raspberries, blackberries). What else the farm produces:  vegetables and salads (strawberries, kale, tomatoes, bell and hot peppers, eggplants, green beans, carrots, beetroot, mint, mizuna), in open fields and in greenhouses covering an area of 5000sqm, all of which are also organically certified.
Mechanized works are carried out with a Romanian V523 tractor, owned by one of the shareholders. The farm has 6 permanent employees and approximately 10 seasonal employees (day laborers).

To prepare the best Mojito you will need 60 ml of white rum, the juice of one lemon, mint leaves, and granulated brown sugar. For garnish, you can opt for a slice of lime.

Method of preparation

Place the sugar and mint leaves in a glass, then gently muddle them to activate the mint aroma, add ice cubes, and then the white rum. Add sparkling water and then, using a special cocktail spoon, stir twice while gently lifting the spoon.
