It is a drink made from a noble ingredient, honey. A modern reinterpretation of classic mead. With an alcohol content of 4.5%, refreshing, aromatic, slightly carbonated, packaged in a 330 ml bottle, easy to consume on any occasion.
Mead is one of the most sustainable fermented beverages in the world. With each bottle consumed, you help Romanian beekeepers develop their apiaries, and bees help the environment by pollinating 1/3 of each piece of food.
This drink of the gods is a worthy substitute for beer or cider. Refreshing, slightly carbonated, with a low ABV of only 5%, with complex aromas. A gluten-free drink.
Mead is probably the oldest fermented drink in the world, for the Greeks it was the drink of the gods, the Celts had a mead river that flowed through paradise, the Vikings had a goat that gave mead instead of milk. The myth of the honeymoon comes from the consumption of mead.
About the producer
We are a family who 7 years ago left Bucharest for the Buzău Valley and since then we have been active in the beekeeping sector. From honey production in the early years to processing and sales. We have managed to create, under the name Primitv Foods, 7 varieties of spreadable honey according to innovative recipes with which we are present in grocery stores, herbalists and at fairs in the country. Having honey on hand, we have always been attentive to what other products can be made from honey.
And one day in London we had the opportunity to discover a mead that was totally different from what we knew mead from beekeepers to be. It was refreshing, carbonated, with a pleasant aroma, not necessarily sweet and with an alcohol content of only 5%. This being the big difference, making mead an easy drink to consume on any occasion.
We really liked the idea and the result and since then we started to document ourselves, we fermented various assortments, we read, we listened to podcasts, we participated in an advanced mead making course in London, and now we are ready to offer you a modern mead produced in Romania from 100% Romanian honey in our factory in the Buzău Valley.
Storage conditions
It is best to store in a cool place, protected from frost and direct sunlight.
Miedul IPM (India Pale Mead), are o compozitie simpla dar nobila: Apa (din subcarpatii de curbura), Miere (de pe Valea Buzaului), Drojdii selectionate si Hamei.
