Composition.

One sachet of oral powder contains Saccharomyces boulardii CNCM I-745 lyophilized 282.5 mg (contains lyophilized cells of Saccharomyces boulardii CNCM I-745 250 mg) and excipients: lactose monohydrate, fructose, anhydrous colloidal silicon dioxide, artificial "tutti frutti" flavor.

Therapeutic indications.

Enterol 250 is recommended in the following cases:

- treatment of acute infectious diarrhea in adults and children;

- prevention and treatment of colitis and diarrhea caused by antibiotic consumption;

- in association with vancomycin/metronidazole, for the prevention of recurrence of diseases caused by Clostridium difficile;

- prevention of diarrhea caused by enteral nutrition;

- treatment of irritable bowel syndrome.

Dosage and method of administration.

The recommended dose is 1 - 2 sachets of Enterol 250, 1-2 times a day.

Pour the contents of the sachet into a little water or sweetened drinks (sugar must be boiled), stir and drink. Also, the oral powder can be combined with food or poured into a bottle.

Precautions.

Treatment with Saccharomyces boulardii CNCM I-745 does not replace rehydration, when necessary. The type of rehydration and the route of administration (oral/intravenous) should be established according to the severity of the diarrhea, the age and the general condition of the patient.

If symptoms persist after 2 days of treatment with the usual dose, the therapeutic approach should be reassessed.

Enterol 250 contains live cells with a risk of systemic fungal infections.

This medicine should not be taken in combination with very hot (over 50^oC), very cold drinks or food or with ethyl alcohol

Special warnings.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Teratogenic potential has not been demonstrated in animal studies. To date, no fetotoxic or malformative effects have been reported in the clinic. Due to insufficient data, it is recommended to avoid using this medicine during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Ability to drive or operate machinery

Enterol 250 does not affect the ability to drive or operate machinery.
