Composition.
The active substances are: xylometazoline hydrochloride and dexpanthenol. Each ml of nasal spray, solution, contains xylometazoline hydrochloride 1 mg and dexpanthenol 50 mg. One puff of 0.1 ml nasal spray, solution, contains xylometazoline hydrochloride 0.1 mg and dexpanthenol 5.0 mg. The other components (excipients) are: potassium dihydrogen phosphate, disodium phosphate dodecahydrate and purified water
Therapeutic indications.
Septanazal nasal spray contains xylometazoline hydrochloride and dexpanthenol.
Xylometazoline hydrochloride rapidly constricts blood vessels in the nasal mucosa and reduces its congestion, as well as mucus secretion. In this way, the sensation of nasal blockage disappears. Dexpanthenol is a derivative of pantothenic acid, a vitamin that promotes wound healing and protects the nasal mucosa.
Septanazal is used:
- for decongestion of the nasal mucosa in nasal inflammations (rhinitis) and for healing mucosal lesions,
- for the relief of non-allergic inflammation of the nasal mucosa (in vasomotor rhinitis), - for the treatment of impaired nasal breathing after nasal surgery.
It can be used in adults and children and adolescents over 6 years of age.
