Fuchs ECO Ceylon Expedition Whole Cloves

Hand-picked, organic products with guaranteed origin from Sri Lanka. The packaging is made of glass to preserve their flavor as much as possible.

Cloves have a very intense, spicy aroma and a strong smell. This is mainly due to the fact that the percentage of essential oil contained is high (between 15 and 20%).

Cloves can be used whole, but also in powder form. In soups, they are cooked unripe and removed at the end of the cooking time.

Ground cloves are suitable for sweets or Indian curry. Because of their intense aromas, they should be dosed with care. Cloves give a special, spicy aroma to meat and fish dishes, game, chicken, stew, marinades of all kinds and smoked products.

Cloves are contained in various spice mixtures such as garam masala, the Arabic baharat mixture and the Chinese five-spice mixture.
