About the supplier

Since its founding in the Netherlands almost 400 years ago, 3 Horses has been a symbol of superior quality. Our roots can be traced back to 1628, when the 'Drie Hoefijzers' (3 Horseshoes) brewery was established in Breda. The name was inspired by the neighboring blacksmith's tavern. Here, people enjoyed a drink while waiting for their horses to be re-shod.

In 1886, a new brewery with state-of-the-art facilities was built, and the brand became the first to produce non-alcoholic beverages on a large scale. This event marked the beginning of our malts' worldwide export. The brand name was changed to 3 Horses, to appeal to international markets: easier to pronounce and remember.
