Species: Merluccius Capensis
The Cape Hake is fished in the waters of the Atlantic Ocean, along the coast of South Africa and is considered the most appreciated species of hake worldwide.
In international cuisine, the Cape Hake enjoys a well-deserved reputation as an excellent fish, having a white flesh, a firm texture and a light, sweet and delicate aroma.

Edenia frozen fish is a 100% natural product (it does not contain phosphates, additives or other chemicals).
It has a minimum layer of glaze (0-10%) to protect the fish fillets from freezer burn.
All products in the Edenia fish range are individually frozen (IQF – Individually Quick Frozen). Each piece of fish fillet is frozen quickly, at -35 degrees, thus preserving its freshness, appearance and shape.
Edenia fish species are carefully selected from the best species internationally.
Recommendation: to guarantee the taste and authenticity of the fish you buy, always check the Latin name of the fish species and the level of glaze, which are mandatory on the packaging.
Cooking recommendation:
Oven:
Place the previously thawed Edenia hake fillets in an oven tray, drizzle with oil and season according to the recipe. Then place the tray in the oven preheated to 180 degrees, for about 10 minutes or until the fish is cooked.
Pan:
Place the previously thawed Edenia hake fillets in a hot pan and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side.
Storage conditions:
