Over 23,000 cups of coffee are drunk every second, but with so many of us enjoying coffee, we need to take care not to end up with empty cups. Climate change, coffee crop diseases, water scarcity and farmers migrating from rural to urban areas all threaten the future of coffee. In 2010, the company took its 80 years of experience in the global coffee industry to the next level, with one purpose: to ensure that all of its coffee is sourced responsibly. The Nescafe Plan helps farmers, farming communities and the planet.

Today the company has 300 Nescafe coffee agronomists working with farmers in 15 countries, providing training in entrepreneurship and developing agricultural skills. Since 2010 Nescafe has helped train over 700,000 farmers.

Nescafe supports local farming communities and inspires a new generation to become coffee farmers, through empowerment and skills development programs.
