For marinade
- 500g of sliced chicken breast
- 1 spoon of soy sauce
- 1 spoon of rice wine
- 1 spoon of cornstarch
For Sichuan sauce
- 2 spoons of oil
- 2-3 spoons of spicy pepper Sichuan sauce (adjust the quantity for the spiciness level)
- 2-3 spoons of peanut butter
- 2 minced garlic gloves
- 1 spoon of minced fresh ginger
- 2 spoons of soy sauce
- 1 spoon of rice vinegar
- 1 spoon of sugar
- 1/2 coup of chicken or vegetable broth
For vegetables
- 1 spicy pepper, cut thinly (optional)
- 1/2 thinly cut onion
- Vegetables of choice
Instrucțiuni
- 1In a bowl, mix the chicken with the soy sauce, rice wine (if used) and cornstarch. Let it marinate for 15-20 minutes.
- 2In another bowl, mix the Sichuan spicy pepper sauce, peanut butter, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sugar and broth. Mix well until the sauce smoothens.
- 3Heat the oil in a deep pan/wok, at a medium heat. Add the cut vegetables (spicy pepper, onion, carrot, normal pepper and any other vegetables you want) and cook for 3-5 min. until they soften.
- 4Add the marinated chicken with the vegetables and cook them until they whiten on all sides.
