Bombay Sapphire is a brand of gin that was launched in 1987 and is distributed by the Bacardi Group.
Bombay gin is produced in England, in Hampshire, at a distillery built on the site of an old mill called Laverstoke. The finest gin requires the finest ingredients, which is why Master Distiller Ivano Tonutti personally selects the 10 botanicals used to infuse the spirit in the distillery's Hampshire stills. A perforated copper basket, housed within both the original stills from the 1830s and the modern 12,000-litre stills, allows the natural flavours of the fresh botanicals to be infused. Sapphire's flavours come from liquorice, Italian orris root, almonds, angelica root, Chinese cassia, coriander, cubeb pepper, lemon peel, grains of paradise and juniper berries.
