Cultivation

Lettuce created (Lollo Bionda) is planted in rows at a distance of 25-30 cm. After 6-7 weeks it can be harvested. Then it has a height of approx. 15-20 cm.

Contained substances

Lettuce created (Lollo Bionda) contains significantly less carotenoids than Lollo Rosso lettuce due to its green leaves. Otherwise, lettuce created (Lollo Bionda), as well as Lollo Rosso lettuce, contains vitamin A, vitamin C, potassium, folic acid, magnesium and iron.

Preparation

Before consumption, Lollo Bionda lettuce should be washed thoroughly, as soil often accumulates between the curly leaves. In addition, the outer leaves must be removed. Then the Lollo Bionda lettuce can be prepared. Due to the curly shape of the lettuce, it is particularly suitable for decorating buffet platters.

Storage/preservation

If the Lollo Bionda lettuce is sprayed with a little water, it can be stored in the refrigerator for several days without reservation.
