Composition:
The active substance is troxerutin. Each capsule contains troxerutin 300 mg. The other components are: magnesium stearate, lactose monohydrate, colorants E110, E104, E171, gelatin.
Therapeutic indications:
Troxevasin contains troxerutin as an active substance. Troxerutin increases the tone of vascular walls and reduces their increased permeability. At the level of perivascular tissues, it has an anti-inflammatory action. Troxevasin reduces edema, relieves pain, and improves trophic disorders of chronic venous insufficiency.
Troxevasin is indicated as an adjuvant in the treatment of:
- varicose disease and disorders of venous blood circulation, chronic venous insufficiency, varicose ulcers, superficial thrombophlebitis and periphlebitis, post-thrombotic syndrome,
- after surgical interventions on veins,
- hemorrhoids,
- diabetic retinopathy and microangiopathy,
- post-traumatic edema and hematomas.
Dosage and method of administration:
Always use this medicine exactly as described in the leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
The initial dose is 1 capsule twice a day. The maintenance dose is 1 capsule per day, for up to 2-4 weeks. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 5 capsules.
It is recommended to administer during meals.
Precautions:
- if you have edema and suffer from liver, cardiovascular or kidney diseases. In this case, Troxevasin is not recommended because the underlying disease must be treated.
Troxevasin contains lactose. If your doctor has warned you that you have an intolerance to certain categories of carbohydrates, please ask him before taking this medicine.
Special warnings:
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
Pregnancy: There are no adequate data on the use of troxerutin in pregnant and breastfeeding women. This medicine is not recommended in the first trimester of pregnancy. Please tell your doctor if you are pregnant, may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant.
Breastfeeding: Troxerutin is excreted in breast milk in an insignificant proportion and no clinically significant effects have been observed in the newborn. However, as a precautionary measure, Troxevasin is not recommended during breastfeeding.
Driving and using machines
It is not known whether Troxevasin affects the ability to drive or use machines.
