Composition

The active substance is acetylsalicylic acid. One tablet contains 500 mg of acetylsalicylic acid. The other components are: calcium carbonate, anhydrous citric acid, microcrystalline cellulose type 101, croscarmellose sodium, talc.

Therapeutic indications

Asaprin T in medium doses has an analgesic (pain-relieving) and antipyretic (fever-reducing) action, and in high doses (3 - 4 g per day) it has an anti-inflammatory action.

As an analgesic and antipyretic, it is indicated for:

- combating mild to moderate pain, in headaches, myalgia, rheumatic joint and periarticular pain, neuralgia, dental pain, menstrual pain;

- combating fever.

As an anti-inflammatory, it is indicated for:

- combating inflammatory phenomena in acute rheumatic fever;

- reducing joint inflammation in rheumatoid arthritis. 

Dosage and method of administration

The tablets are administered with a sufficient amount of water, preferably after meals.

Adults

For the analgesic and antipyretic effect, one Asaprin T tablet is administered, repeating as needed at intervals of 4 hours.

For the anti-inflammatory effect, 6 - 8 tablets per day are administered, in divided doses, at intervals of 6 hours.

For the anti-inflammatory effect in acute rheumatic fever, 85 - 100 mg/kg per day is administered (not exceeding 3 g per day), in divided doses, at intervals of 4 - 6 hours, for 20 - 30 days; subsequently, 2/3 of the loading dose is administered for 10 - 20 days, then 1/2 - 1/3 for another 30 - 40 days.

Children aged between 6 and 12 years

Administration for analgesic and antipyretic effects in viral diseases is done at the recommendation of the doctor and under their strict supervision.

Adolescents

For the analgesic and antipyretic effect, 1/2 Asaprin T tablet is administered, repeating as needed at intervals of 4 - 8 hours.

Warnings and precautions

Take special care when using Asaprin T

- if you are prone to allergies; in case of bronchial asthma and other chronic obstructive bronchopneumopathies, pollen allergy, allergic rhinitis, nasal polyps, allergic reactions to other medicines or foods (for example, preservatives); treatment is carried out under medical supervision;

- if you have inflammatory or ulcerative disorders of the gastrointestinal tract, including gastroduodenal ulcer, ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease; careful supervision and anti-ulcer treatment are required when administered to patients who have a history of ulcers or gastrointestinal bleeding;

Special warnings

Pregnancy, breastfeeding and fertility

Ask your doctor for advice before taking any medicine during pregnancy.

Do not use Asaprin T if you are in the last trimester of pregnancy. In the first two trimesters of pregnancy, use Asaprin T only if your doctor recommends it. During breastfeeding, use Asaprin T only if your doctor recommends it.

Driving and using machines

Asaprin T does not affect the ability to drive and use machines.
