Description
Composition. The active substance is clotrimazole. Each vaginal tablet contains 100 mg clotrimazole. The other components are: lactose monohydrate, corn starch, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium hydrogen carbonate, tartaric acid, magnesium stearate, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, colloidal silicon dioxide.
Therapeutic indications.
CLOTRIMAZOL MCC 100 mg vaginal tablets are used for the local treatment of
· vaginal infections caused by fungi (especially Candida);
· trichomoniasis;
· vaginal superinfections caused by bacteria sensitive to clotrimazole.
For complete healing of infections diagnosed as being caused by Trichomonas vaginalis, concomitant oral treatment with an antitrichomonal medication must be administered.
Dosage and administration.
1 CLOTRIMAZOL MCC vaginal tablet (100 mg clotrimazole) per day, for 6 consecutive days or 2 CLOTRIMAZOL MCC vaginal tablets (200 mg clotrimazole) per day, for 3 consecutive days.
Preferably, tablets should be administered in the evening, before bedtime.
If necessary, treatment can be repeated. If symptoms persist for more than 7 days, the patient may have a condition that requires treatment recommended by a doctor.
Insert the Clotrimazol MCC tablet into the vagina, as deeply as possible. The vaginal tablet should be inserted while lying on your back, with your legs spread apart and slightly bent. The use of disposable finger cots is recommended. Clotrimazol MCC vaginal tablets require a moist intravaginal environment to dissolve completely. Otherwise, undissolved fragments may fall out of the vagina. To prevent incomplete dissolution, Clotrimazol MCC vaginal tablets should be inserted into the vagina as deeply as possible, in the evening at bedtime.
