Caffo Vecchio Amaro del Capo

The symbolic product of the Caffo Distillery is Vecchio Amaro del Capo, a liqueur based on an infusion of medicinal plants, the result of an old traditional recipe that has been reworked and improved. Among the 29 plants that make up the infusions, we mention some of the most widespread in Calabria, such as bitter orange, sweet orange, mandarin, chamomile and juniper.

It is a digestive drink with an alcohol content of 35% vol.

Serving recommendation

It is advisable to keep it for a short time at -20° C (freezer) before serving.

About the producer

The history of the Caffo family dates back to the end of the 19th century, when Giuseppe Caffo, a "Master of the distillery" began to distill the must obtained from the grapes grown on the slopes of the Etna volcano. In 1915 he bought an old distillery in Sicily.
Caffo gradually began to produce and become a renowned name on the international market both for liqueurs obtained from old recipes and for specialities. A symbolic product of the distillery is Vecchio Amaro del Capo, a Calabrian herbal liqueur made according to a recipe that has been continuously improved over 4 generations.

In dry, ventilated rooms, with a maximum relative humidity of 85%, at a temperature between +5°C...+20°C.
