Composition
The active substances are acetylsalicylic acid and ascorbic acid. Each effervescent tablet contains: acetylsalicylic acid 800 mg and ascorbic acid 480 mg. The other ingredients are: sodium hydrogen carbonate (sodium hydrogen carbonate and sodium carbonate), anhydrous citric acid, povidone K 30, colloidal anhydrous silicon dioxide.
Therapeutic indications
ASPIRIN PLUS C FORTE contains:
- Acetylsalicylic acid, which relieves pain and reduces fever.
- Ascorbic acid, also known as vitamin C.
ASPIRIN PLUS C FORTE is used:
- for the symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain, such as headaches, toothaches, menstrual pain.
- for the symptomatic treatment of pain and fever in colds and flu.
ASPIRIN PLUS C FORTE is used in adults and adolescents over 12 years of age.
Dosage and method of administration
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Oral administration. The effervescent tablets are dissolved in a glass of water before administration. Effervescent tablets should not be taken on an empty stomach to avoid stomach irritation.
Adults
Single dose: 1 effervescent tablet
The single dose can be repeated after 4-8 hours, if necessary;
Maximum daily dose: 3 effervescent tablets.
Children and adolescents
Adolescents aged 12 years and over: The lowest effective dose should be used.
The dose depends on the weight of the adolescent. This medicine should only be used in adolescents weighing over 53 kg. The reference age is for information purposes only. If necessary, the recommended single dose is 1 effervescent tablet (800mg acetylsalicylic acid/480mg ascorbic acid). The total daily dose should not exceed 3 effervescent tablets .
Precautions
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using ASPIRIN PLUS C FORTE.
- If you are taking other medicines containing acetylsalicylic acid, to avoid any risk of overdose;
- If you experience headaches while using painkillers in high doses or for prolonged periods, do not increase the dose; talk to your doctor or pharmacist;
- If you regularly use analgesics (pain relievers), especially several analgesics in combination; this can lead to persistent kidney damage with decreased kidney function.
- If you have a history of ulcers or bleeding in the stomach or intestines, or inflammation of the stomach lining (gastritis);
- If you are taking medicines with an anticoagulant effect (blood thinners, to prevent blood clots);
Special warnings
Pregnancy, breastfeeding, fertility
Do not take this medicine in the last trimester of pregnancy (after 24 weeks of pregnancy), due to the increased risk of complications for the mother and baby. In the first and second trimesters of pregnancy (during the first 24 weeks) you should seek the advice of your doctor before taking this medicine. If you have already taken this medicine during pregnancy, you should contact your doctor immediately.
Treatment with ASPIRIN PLUS C FORTE is not recommended during breastfeeding, as it passes into breast milk.
This medicine belongs to a group of medicines (NSAIDs) that can affect fertility in women. This effect is reversible upon discontinuation of the medicine.
Driving and using machines
It has no influence on the ability to drive or use machines.
