Therapeutic indications.
Regaine contains minoxidil. Minoxidil helps hair regrow and stabilizes hair loss in men with receding hairline and crown baldness by revitalizing hair follicles.
Regaine is used for the treatment of hereditary hair loss in men (also called androgenic alopecia). It should only be used on the scalp (head).
Dosage and administration.
Use Regaine exactly as described in this leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Use this foam twice a day to achieve and maintain the desired hair growth effect. This foam is for use only on normal, healthy scalp skin. It should NOT be used on inflamed, infected, irritated, or painful scalp skin. Do NOT apply to other parts of the body.
Make sure to apply the foam directly to the scalp. Avoid contact with eyes. If foam gets into your eyes, rinse your eyes immediately with plenty of cold water.
Hair and scalp should be dry.
Apply a dose of 1 g (equivalent to half a capful) to the hairless area twice a day.
It will take some time for hair to start regrowing. Results may appear after 2 months of twice-daily use. For some men, it may be necessary to use this medicine for at least 4 months before results are seen.
Precautions.
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Regaine if you:
- have heart conditions including abnormal heart rhythm or beats, angina or chest pain and/or circulatory disorders.

If you experience any of these side effects, stop using this medicine immediately and contact your doctor.
In some patients, changes in hair color and texture have occurred with the use of this medicine.
