Composition
The active substance is bifonazole. 1g Canespor cream contains bifonazole 0.01g. The other ingredients are: benzyl alcohol, cetostearyl alcohol, cetyl palmitate, octyldodecanol, polysorbate 60, sorbitan monostearate, purified water.
Therapeutic indications
Canespor cream is a broad-spectrum antifungal medicine used to treat fungal skin infections. Bifonazole, the active ingredient in Canespor cream, penetrates the affected layers of the skin and attacks the fungi.
It is recommended for the treatment of skin mycoses caused by dermatophytes, yeasts, molds and other fungi (for example tinea pedis, tinea manum, tinea corporis, tinea inguinalis, pityriasis versicolor, superficial candidiasis)
Treatment of erythrasma.
Dosage and method of administration
The cream is used once a day, preferably in the evening before bedtime. It is applied in a thin layer to the affected area and massaged in.
A small amount of cream is usually sufficient to treat an area approximately the size of the palm of the hand. To obtain definitive results, treatment with bifonazole cream should be continued for an appropriate period.
Usual duration of treatment:
- Foot mycoses, (tinea pedum, tinea pedum interdigitalis) - 3 weeks
- Mycoses of the trunk, hands and skin folds (tinea corporis, tinea manuum, tinea inguinalis) - 2-3 weeks
- Pityriasis versicolor - 2 weeks
- Erythrasma - 2 weeks
- Superficial candidiasis of the skin - 2-4 weeks
Precautions
Before using Canespor Cream, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
- Avoid contact with eyes.
- Do not swallow.

Special warnings
Pregnancy, breastfeeding, fertility
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
Canespor should be used during pregnancy only after careful evaluation of the risk/benefit ratio, as there are no data on its use in pregnant women. As a precautionary measure, it is preferable to avoid using bifonazole in the first trimester of pregnancy.
Your doctor will decide whether to stop breastfeeding or to delay treatment with Canespor cream.
Driving and using machines
It has no influence on the ability to drive and use machines.

Canespor cream is available in aluminum tubes containing 20 g of cream.
