Composition. The active substances are: paracetamol, phenylephrine hydrochloride and ascorbic acid (vitamin C). Each sachet contains paracetamol 750 mg, phenylephrine hydrochloride 10 mg, ascorbic acid (vitamin C) 60 mg. The other ingredients are: ethylcellulose, anhydrous citric acid, sodium saccharin, sodium citrate, lemon flavour, honey flavour, Caramel simple, corn starch, aspartame (E 951), sugar.

Therapeutic indications.

It is a treatment for the short-term, symptomatic relief of the common cold and flu including: fever, chills, headache, muscular aches, nasal congestion, sore throat, sinusitis and the acute nasal pain and hypersecretion associated with it.

Contains three active ingredients:

- paracetamol, which relieves pain and will reduce your temperature when you have a fever;

- phenylephrine hydrochloride, a decongestant which will unblock your nose and sinuses, helping you breathe more easily;

- vitamin C (ascorbic acid), which helps replace the vitamin C that can be lost in the early stages of the cold and flu.

Dosage and method of administration.

For oral administration. Empty the contents of one sachet into a mug. Add hot water, stir well. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Always take the lowest effective dose to relieve your symptoms.

Adults (including the elderly) and children aged 12 years and over The recommended dose is one sachet every 4-6 hours, as required, up to a maximum of five sachets in 24 hours. The minimum interval between doses should be 4 hours.

Precautions.

Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.

Before taking Coldrex Honey & Lemon, talk to your doctor or pharmacist:

- if you have liver or kidney disease,

- if you are underweight or malnourished,

- if you are a chronic alcoholic.

You may need to stop taking this medicine or limit the amount of paracetamol you take.

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine. Coldrex Honey & Lemon should not be used during pregnancy or breast-feeding unless considered strictly necessary by your doctor.

Driving and using machines

This medicine may cause dizziness. Do not drive or operate machinery if you are affected by dizziness while taking this medicine.
