Composition
The active substances are phenylephrine and dimetindene maleate. The other ingredients are: benzalkonium chloride, anhydrous disodium phosphate, citric acid monohydrate, sorbitol, deterpenated lavender essence and purified water.
Therapeutic indications
Vibrocil nasal drops contains as active substances a nasal decongestant (phenylephrine) and an antihistamine (dimetindene maleate).
Vibrocil nasal drops provides rapid and long-lasting relief from nasal congestion and runny nose, symptoms present in a wide variety of infectious or allergic diseases of the upper respiratory tract. It helps to clear the nasal passages, easing the feeling of a blocked and stuffy nose. Vibrocil nasal drops does not interfere with the activity of the nasal cilia. Vibrocil nasal drops is used to relieve nasal congestion in colds, acute and chronic rhinitis, hay fever or other allergic rhinitis (allergies to house dust, animal fur, etc.), vasomotor rhinitis and sinusitis.
Vibrocil nasal drops can also be used as an adjuvant treatment in otitis.
Vibrocil nasal drops may be prescribed by your doctor for pre- and post-operative care in nasal surgery.
You should talk to your doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse after 7 days of treatment.
Dosage and method of administration
Children under 1 year of age: not recommended.
Children aged 1 to 6 years (under adult supervision): 1-2 drops in each nostril 3-4 times a day.
Children aged 6 to 12 years (under adult supervision): 3-4 drops in each nostril 3-4 times a day.
Adolescents over 12 years of age and adults: 3-4 drops in each nostril 3-4 times a day.
Vibrocil nasal drops should be used after blowing your nose.
Tilt your head back while standing or sitting. If you are lying in bed, you should hang your head over the edge of the bed. Apply the drops into each nostril and keep your head tilted back for a few minutes to allow the medicine to spread into the nose.
Precautions
Talk to your doctor before using Vibrocil nasal drops if you have any of the following medical conditions:
- Heart disease
- High blood pressure
- Overactive thyroid
- Diabetes
- Enlarged prostate, as treatment could lead to urinary retention
- Epilepsy

Pregnancy, breastfeeding, fertility
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
Driving and using machines
There are no data available on the effect of Vibrocil nasal drops on the ability to drive and use machines. However, it is unlikely that Vibrocil nasal drops will have any effect on this ability.

Clear, colourless to slightly yellowish solution available in 15 ml brown glass bottles with a pipette.
