If used at the end of pregnancy, it can cause a tendency to bleed in both the mother and the child and reduce the strength of uterine contractions, delaying the onset of labor.
Treatment during the first 6 months of pregnancy will only be recommended by your doctor if it is absolutely necessary. Ibuprofen can make it harder to try to get pregnant. You should tell your doctor if you are planning to become pregnant or if you have problems getting pregnant.
Do not take codeine while breastfeeding. Codeine and morphine pass into breast milk.
