Pasta Cinquepalmi Brings Happiness

Who would have thought that near Bucharest, in Popești-Leordeni, there is an “pastificio artigianale” run by an Italian who has made Romania his home for the past 10 years?

We visited Giovanni to learn his story and taste his pasta and sauces. What we discovered in the small pastificio is a team like a family, united by the love of offering an Italian culinary experience to all families in Bucharest and its surroundings.

Let's meet Giovanni and his team

“I am delighted by products that seem simple.”

And simple is the key word when you look at Giovanni in the kitchen. He works hard and prepares for us, tasty sauces with simple ingredients, without unwanted additives.

“I cook the same recipes for my clients as I do for my family.”

This made us trust the products that Giovanni prepares with so much love.

Giovanni's fresh pasta and sauces are fresh and contain only natural ingredients. Therefore, it is very important not to break the cold chain.

  • - Giovanni stores his products cold. He doesn't keep them for long because he produces on demand.
  • - So, shortly after, they are delivered to Sezamo's warehouses cold in refrigerated trucks.
  • - They are checked and received cold by Sezamo's quality managers. Initially, we check that there are no temperature variations in the refrigerated units in which the products were transported. This way, we ensure that the products have been kept cold at all times. Then, we receive them in a controlled temperature space where we constantly maintain temperatures of 2° Celsius.
  • - We store them properly in the refrigerated area of our warehouse.
  • - When you place an order, the products are prepared and kept cold until they are picked up by the courier and placed in the refrigerated box where the temperature is set at 2° Celsius.
  • - When they reach you, the products are at their freshest. Almost as if you had picked them up yourself from Giovanni's pastificio.

If making pasta sometimes seems complicated, after watching Giovanni in the kitchen, the process seems simpler than making an omelet with cheese and summer tomatoes.
