The boldest and most powerful blended Scotch whisky in the Johnnie Walker range, Johnnie Walker Double Black Label Scotch Whisky offers an even more intense expression of the legendary flavours, with smoky notes, of Johnnie Walker Black Label. Its creators have selected naturally smoky, rich and complex matured Scottish malt whiskies, including Caol Ila from Islay. By introducing other classic malts, including Cardhu, which have been specially matured for the blend in heavily charred oak casks, they have created a whisky that truly amplifies the signature flavours for which Johnnie Walker is renowned. Hints of apple, pear and orange zest bring freshness to the blend, while creamy vanilla and spices gently sweeten the overall mix. Johnnie Walker Double Black is best enjoyed with water, which unlocks its complex layers of spice and smoke. An impressive blend, meant to be savoured with loved ones, no matter the occasion. And an ideal gift to give, since 1820.

About the producer
The story of the world's most famous whisky begins in the shop owned by John Walker, where he has the brilliant idea of marketing an assortment created from a blend of single malts. Alexander Walker learns the art of blending and is prepared to successfully take over his father's already thriving business in 1857. In 1867, Alexander creates the famous square bottle, the slanted label and the ‘Old Highland Whisky’ assortment, which he markets outside the borders. Upon his death, the company is inherited by his sons George and Alexander II. Ambitious by nature, the two create Johnnie Walker Red Label and Johnnie Walker Black Label. Starting with 1900, the company's blends become part of global culture, being present in 120 countries. In 1934, John Walker & Sons becomes a supplier to the British Royal Household. At the end of the 20th century, the range is joined by Johnnie Walker Blue Label, Johnnie Walker Gold Label Reserve and Johnnie Walker Platinum Label.
