This document outlines the terms and conditions of the reusable bag service ("Terms"). It is a legal document that clearly defines the rights and obligations related to using this service – i.e., the delivery of orders from the www.sezamo.ro e-shop in reusable bags.
Who are we and where to find us
The www.sezamo.ro e-shop is available via the website www.sezamo.ro or the mobile app Sezamo.ro ("Sezamo.ro e-shop").
The e-shop is operated by SEZAMO S.R.L. ("Sezamo.ro"), a limited liability company organized and operating in accordance with the Romanian legislation, with its registered office at 5 Linha de Centura Street, Ctpark Industrial Park Bucharest North, Unit J2, Room C9.1F.26, Stefanestii de Jos, Ilfov County, registered with the Trade Register under no. J2024003334230, CUI RO50031526, share capital RON 45,000 ("Sezamo.ro").
These Terms are effective as of 23 April 2025.

1. REUSABLE BAG SERVICE
Paper or reusable? The choice is yours.
By default, goods are delivered in disposable paper bags, which can be returned to the courier for recycling. In accordance with the General Terms and Conditions of Sezamo.ro, we charge a flat fee per order. The current flat fee amount is displayed at checkout and applies per order regardless of the number of paper bags in which your order is delivered.
For a more sustainable choice, opt for reusable bags – sturdy, reusable bags made from recycled PET bottles.
You shop more sustainably, without unnecessary packaging or complicated logistics. Just select reusable bags during checkout – we’ll handle the rest.
2. ACTIVATING THE SERVICE
How to activate
Simply select "reusable bags" in the "Packaging" section when completing your order. By doing this, you agree to these Terms.
Xtra Free Membership, Xtra Trial Membership and non-Xtra cutomers
- The reusable bag service is available for Xtra Free Membership members, Xtra Trial Membership members and non-Xtra customers upon payment of a one-time refundable deposit ("Deposit").
- The Deposit is added to the first order that is delivered in reusable bags. If the Deposit has not been paid yet, or if it was previously refunded, it will be charged again with the first subsequent order delivered in reusable bags. The current Deposit amount is displayed at checkout.
How does it all work?
The bags remain the property of Sezamo.ro. Your responsibility is to return the bags gradually to the courier with future orders, so we can clean, inspect, and reuse them. This saves waste, time, and helps protect the environment.
How many bags can you have?
To keep the system sustainable for everyone, we’ve introduced limits on the maximum number of bags you can currently “hold” (i.e., not yet returned):
- Xtra Membership members: max. 25 bags
- Free Membership members/ Xtra Trial Membership and non-Xtra members/: max. 20 bags
If you exceed your limit, your order may be delivered in paper bags instead – until you return some of the bags. In such cases, a flat fee for delivery of orders in paper bags will apply. You can always check the current number of bags in your account or the mobile app.
Bags can only be returned by handing them to the courier when receiving a new order.
Examples
Example 1 – Customer with Xtra Membership:
A customer with an active Xtra Membership receives 14 reusable bags with their first order. With the second order, they get another 12 bags, making a total of 26 bags currently held.
If they return at least one bag during the second delivery (holding 25 in total), they stay within the limit, and the next order will again be delivered in reusable bags.
However, if they don’t return any bags and end up holding more than 25, the system will recognize that the limit has been reached – and future orders may be delivered in paper bags. The customer can resume using reusable bags after returning some.
Example 2 – Customer without Xtra membership:
Non-extra customers first orders goods in reusable bags and receives 15 bags. In the next order, they get another 6 – exceeding the 20-bag maximum.
If they don’t return any bags with the following order, the next one may be delivered in paper bags.
Once they return at least one reusable bag in any future order, the goods will again be delivered in reusable bags – until the limit is exceeded again.
3. CANCELLING THE REUSABLE BAG SERVICE
In case it is applicable to you, you may cancel the reusable bag service at any time – without giving a reason and without any additional conditions. If you are a consumer, you also have the legal right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of its conclusion.
Cancellation for Xtra Membership members
If you cancel your Xtra Membershipor stop using the service and you currently hold no reusable bags, you can simply choose delivery in paper bags and pay the applicable flat fee. However, if you still hold any reusable bags, they remain the property of Sezamo.ro. You can then either continue using the reusable bag service, but with your next order placed after the cancellation of the Xtra Membership, the standard Deposit will be charged for the reusable bags you currently hold or you can decide to stop using the reusable bags at all. If you decide not to continue, you must return the bags. If you remain inactive or do not pay the Deposit for more than 6 months, Sezamo.ro reserves the right to request the reusable bags back.
Want to use the service again? Simply reactivate it when placing your next order by selecting the “reusable bags” option.
Cancellation for members with Xtra Free Membership, Xtra Trial Membership and non-Xtra customers
If you activated the service by paying the Deposit and decide to cancel, you are entitled to a refund – provided that you return all reusable bags supplied by Sezamo.ro.
- Cancellations and refund requests must be made exclusively by phone at Sezamo.ro’s customer line: 0800 894 077
- The Deposit will be refunded within 14 days by one of the following methods:
- Crediting your Sezamo.ro customer account (credits never expire and can be used for future purchases), or
- A bank transfer to the account used for the original payment – if explicitly requested.
After cancellation, the service can be reactivated at any time – just choose the “reusable bags” option again during checkout. In this case, a new deposit will be required.
- FINAL PROVISIONS
These Terms are issued in Romanian and English versions. In the event of any discrepancy between the language versions, the Romanian version shall prevail.
Sezamo.ro iis not liable for any damage or non-material harm in case reusable bags are temporarily unavailable – for example, due to supply shortages, delivery disruptions, or other exceptional circumstances. In such cases, Sezamo.ro reserves the right to deliver goods temporarily in paper bags. In this case, however, the goods will be delivered to you in paper bags without the obligation to pay a flat fee.
We will do our utmost to restore the reusable bag service as soon as possible. However, if it becomes impossible to provide reusable bag delivery for more than 90 days due to capacity or technical reasons, your deposit will be refunded – provided all bags are returned.
Legal relations arising under these Terms are governed by the laws of Romania and by these Terms. In matters not expressly regulated herein Sezamo.ro’s General Terms and Conditions shall apply. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and the General Terms and Conditions, these Terms shall prevail. The procedure for resolving disputes, including out-of-court settlements, is outlined in Article 10 of the General Terms.
Sezamo.ro reserves the right to reasonably amend or supplement these Terms at any time. You will be notified in advance – by email or another suitable method – to give you an opportunity to review the new version. If you disagree with the changes, you have the right to cancel the service and request a deposit refund – again, provided all bags are returned.
