About the winery

Between the Danube and the sea, the sun and the sea breeze pamper and caress the vineyards like nowhere else. The village among the vineyards is a place where Romanians, Turks, Tatars live together in peace and understanding...
It has always been like this...
In my youth, I talked to the village elders. They told me about the vine, about wine, about how you have to respect this noble profession in order to get the best result. I decided to replant the vine at Viisoara and to make a winery in these places. From this idea I started and I ended up replanting almost 330 hectares of vineyard. The vineyard surrounds the Caceamac Valley, still known to the villagers under the same name.
The idea became a reality and the Viisoara Winery is today one of the most modern in Romania, with a capacity of 3 million liters.
At the "International Wine Contest Bucharest (IWCB) - 2017", held in the capital between May 25-28, 2017, it won no less than 19 medals, of which 7 gold and 12 silver. 
The varieties cultivated with material brought from France are white and red.
The white varieties include: Feteasca Alba, Feteasca Regala, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Muscat Ottonel, Tamaioasa Romaneasca, Riesling Italian, Traminer.
The red wine varieties are Pinot Noir, Feteasca Neagra, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
The rosé wines complete the range. It is very important that the rosé is not made from a mixture of white and red wine, but by immediately processing the red grapes, in just 3-4 hours a pale rosé is obtained, like an onion skin. The rosé from Viisoara is already in great demand, being requested by young people and preferred by many representatives of the fair sex.
Inside there are white wine vinifiers, red wine vinifiers, storage tanks plus other double insulated vinifiers (for tartaric stability), barrels and a tasting room.
