Country:
Ungaria,Granola with hazelnuts and ingredients recovered from the beer brewing process
Crispy granola made from oat flakes and grains recovered from the beer production process (upcycled), complemented with hazelnuts, almonds, sweet coconut flakes, aromatic cinnamon, and natural date syrup.
By reusing grains from breweries, food waste is reduced, and nutritious ingredients that would otherwise be lost are valorized. The delicate vacuum drying process preserves the crispy texture and helps conserve nutrients from ingredients such as oat flakes, flax seeds, and sunflower seeds.
Usage
It can be served with milk or yogurt or added to smoothies and ice cream. It is also suitable as an ingredient for desserts and homemade dishes.
Recipe: Orange and Granola Bread
For an aromatic reinterpretation of a sweet bread with notes of orange and cinnamon, you will need:
Ingredients:
- 300 g Brewer's granola with hazelnuts, finely ground
- 30 g flour (optional, if the dough is too liquid)
- 100 g sugar
- 3 oranges
- 180 g vegetable oil (sunflower, rapeseed, or coconut)
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- Vanilla (extract or powder)
- Optional: cinnamon, cloves
- A pinch of salt
Method of preparation:
- Mix the dry ingredients: ground granola, baking powder, vanilla, and salt.
- Grate the orange zest over the sugar and mix well to release the aromas.
- Beat the sugar together with the egg.
- Add the oil and freshly squeezed orange juice.
- Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ones until you get a homogeneous mixture.
- If the dough is too liquid, add approximately 30 g of flour.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 175°C for 45–50 minutes. Halfway through baking, cover the top with foil to prevent excessive browning.
- Let the preparation cool in the pan.
