In the 19th century Wilhelm Mast was a vinegar producer from Germany, but his son, Curt Mast decided to take the business further and create a different product. Thus, in the 1930s, in the city of Wolfenbüttel in Lower Saxony, Curt Mast created a herbal liqueur that was initially a festive drink for hunters. After years of research and development, Curt established the final recipe for a liqueur made from 56 natural ingredients. After more than 80 years, Curt's world has changed but his alchemy has remained the same. The drink contains herbs, buds, roots and fruits of the highest quality, brought from all over the world, processed in 4 different mixtures, macerated, then mixed again and kept to mature in a German oak barrel for 12 months. After maturing, the liqueur tells its story every time, through perfume and aromas from four corners of the world. Jägermeister is the ingredient of party and good mood, in the club, or who knows, maybe at a hunting party, deep in the deer forest.
