Method of administration:
Adults
The recommended dose is 1 film-coated tablet 1-3 times a day, administered at intervals of at least 6 hours.
The maximum dose of BIOFEN EXTRA 400 mg/325 mg is 3 film-coated tablets (1200 mg ibuprofen, 975 mg paracetamol) in 24 hours.
The film-coated tablets should be swallowed whole, with a glass of water, preferably after a meal.
Children and adolescents
Not indicated for children and adolescents under 18 years of age.
Elderly
No dose adjustment is necessary, unless renal insufficiency, hepatic insufficiency, or a history of gastrointestinal bleeding after administration of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs is present; in this case, doses should be individualized.
