Description
Hepa-Merz granules belong to the group: liver therapy. Hepa-Merz granules stimulate ammonia detoxification by increasing urea synthesis in the urea cycle. It helps with extrahepatic ammonia detoxification from tissues. In the treatment of latent or manifest hepatic encephalopathy in conditions with insufficient hepatic detoxification activity (e.g., in hepatic cirrhosis) and their complications.
Ingredients:
- The active substance is L-ornithine-L-aspartate.
- The other components are: anhydrous citric acid, lemon flavor, orange flavor, sodium saccharin, sodium cyclamate, Orange Yellow S (E 110), povidone, fructose.

The content of 1 – 2 sachets of Hepa-Merz granules should be dissolved in a sufficient amount of liquid (e.g., a glass of water, tea, or juice) and the resulting solution should be administered orally up to 3 times/day.
Due to limited experience, the administration of this medicine to children is not recommended.
