About the producer

The Arkase matured cheese factory is located in the village of Arcus in Covasna county, 3 km from Sfantu Gheorghe. It was completed in 2022, and the one who dreamed and gave birth to it is the businessman Retyi Odon, who, in addition to the long-term business idea, wanted to offer Romanian consumers high-quality cheeses produced 100% from Romanian milk.

The Retyi family, among other things, has also owned a cow farm for over 20 years. They have sold milk all this time to a local dairy factory. As the family grew, the owner began to think about the future of his grandchildren and that's how the idea came to not sell the milk but to process it. This is how the desire to build a state-of-the-art matured cheese factory emerged, where his grandchildren would eventually get involved.
