About the producer

The ruins of Biborți Fortress, an early medieval fortress, are located on the top of Vărbiuc Hill. One of the legends preserved in collective memory is collected and published by Zoltan Kissgyörgy in his book Baraolt Basin. Sf. Gheorghe, 1972 and it goes like this:
Biborti Făt Frumos, the lord of the fortress, was the true master of the land as far as the eye could see. Many years had passed, but the beautiful fairy he dreamed of, he still hadn't found. “Beautiful girls live at the fortress above Lake Sfânta Ana” – the news had arrived. Through many dangers, the brave Biborți passed until he could penetrate the Fortress of Fairies. Faila was the name of the girl he chose.

“I will become your wife – said the exceedingly beautiful girl – on condition that you fulfill two of my wishes: make a water spring forth for me, in which, if I bathe, I will remain eternally young as long as the world exists, and I desire another spring, from whose water, if I drink, I will always remain cheerful, healthy, and know nothing of death.”

“I will fulfill your wish – said Făt Frumos, and like lightning, they both flew in a golden carriage towards Biborți Fortress.
- Behold the first spring – said Biborți, and where he placed his foot, a spring of cold and beneficial mineral water gushed forth.
- In this one you will bathe – he said. And where he pricked the ground a second time with a golden rod, the other spring also appeared. Faila's wishes were fulfilled.
The wedding, like in fairy tales, lasted seven days and seven nights. And to the beneficial mineral water springs, people came from all parts, seeking their health.

“Tirco Hill, at the foot of which a mineral water spring flowed, was connected by a suspended golden bridge to Biborți Fortress. On this bridge, the fairies descended from the fortress to take water from the enchanted spring…”
