Alnatura Origin Black Tiger shrimps have a natural grey colour and are traditionally farmed in West Bengal, India. There, a maximum of ten shrimps live per square metre – in accordance with the guidelines for organic aquaculture – in near-natural pond systems. 15 cents per pack sold are donated to the Alnatura Mangrove Initiative for the sustainable reforestation of mangrove forests – the natural breeding ground and nursery for shrimps.

About the producer
Alnatura has been developing organic products since 1984.
Over 3,500 employees ensure that food from organic farms finds its way to you. The vision "for people and the earth" is the motivation for all of the company's actions. Therefore, all of Alnatura's activities and projects are measured against their compatibility with people and the planet.
Diversity in nature and agriculture is essential. Against the backdrop of climate change and the millions of endangered animal and plant species, this vision is more important than ever for an intact ecosystem. For this reason, it is essential that people are put at the centre of the company's thoughts and actions, instead of purely economic interests.
