About the producer

This beer brand comes from Italy, is produced by Ursus Breweries part of the South African concern (which also produces: Timisoreana, Redd’s, Ciucas, Stejar, Azuga, Pilsner Urquell, Miller Genuine Draft, Grolsch, Ursus) and represents a combination between two beers made at the Birra Peroni factory: Peroni and Nastro Azzurro. The history of the Peroni Nastro Azzurro beer brand starts in 1846, when Francesco Peroni opened the first beer factory in Vigevano. A quarter of a century later, in 1872, Peroni became the main beer of the royal house. In the early 1990s, the first advertisements for the Peroni Nastro Azzurro beer factory - Birra Peroni also appeared. In 1963, the premium brand Nastro Azzurro (from Italian, “blue ribbon”) was launched, and in 1965 it was imported into the United States of America and Great Britain.

In 2005, the global relaunch of the Peroni Nastro Azzurro beer brand took place, in March it also appeared in Romania, at the same time as in Great Britain. Peroni Nastro Azzurro has a special elegance, specific to the Italian people, the consumer profile being confused with passion and the special way of doing things; at the same time creative, with a bit of boldness, attitude and a spirit of confidence.
