About the manufacturer

The Aberlour Distillery was founded by Peter Weir and James Gordon in 1826, near the River Spey. The springs in the area have always been valued for their purity. The rain that falls on Ben Rinnes mountain seeps through the pink granite rocks towards the lower slopes, forming crystal-clear springs of extraordinary purity. This is one of the company's secrets and one of the ingredients that gives uniqueness to Aberlour's assortments. Currently, Aberlour is the seventh best-selling single malt in the world. Despite unfortunate events, including a fire that destroyed the distillery, it was reborn and vehemently continued its activity. The core of the range, the 10-year-old assortment, is the most awarded whisky in the Aberlour family. Although distillers now use modern technology, they honor traditional values. The company places great importance on continuity and experience, two indispensable assets for maintaining the quality and originality of its assortments.
