For TRATA sardines, we only use the Sardina Pilchardus species, which is the only species entitled to bear the name "sardine" and not "sardine-type". Our sardines are mainly caught in the waters of the North Aegean. The conditions and biodiversity of its natural habitat and feeding justify its qualitative superiority, which consists of its light-colored, fluffy, and tasty flesh, without scales.
