Composition
The active substances are: paracetamol 650 mg, pheniramine maleate 20 mg and phenylephrine hydrochloride 10 mg. The other components are: sugar, acesulfame potassium, quinoline yellow (E 104), Sunset yellow FCF (E 110), maltodextrin M 100, hydrated colloidal silicon dioxide, lemon flavor variety "Natural Lemon WONF Durarome 860.098/TD 10.91", lemon flavor variety "Natural Lemon Durarome 860.202/TD 09.91", anhydrous citric acid, sodium citrate, calcium phosphate.
Therapeutic indications
Theraflu Extra Cold & Flu contains a combination of three active substances that act on the major symptoms associated with cold and flu:
- Paracetamol is a pain reliever (analgesic) and reduces fever (lowers your body temperature when you have a fever);
- Phenylephrine hydrochloride is a nasal and sinus decongestant. It helps with nasal decongestion and reduces pressure in the sinuses.
- Pheniramine maleate is an antiallergic. It helps stop allergy-like symptoms.
Theraflu Extra Cold & Flu works to reduce major symptoms associated with cold and flu, including:
- Temporary reduction of fever and chills,
- Muscle and joint pain, headache,
- Nasal and sinus congestion,
- Sneezing and runny nose.
Dosage and administration
Adults and adolescents (over 12 years)
One sachet every 4-6 hours as needed. The content of one sachet should be dissolved in approx. 200 ml of hot water.
Maximum 3-4 sachets per day.
Do not administer to children under 12 years of age.
Do not exceed the maximum recommended dose.
Use should not exceed 5 days.
Precautions
The recommended dose should not be exceeded, and the medicine should not be administered for more than 5 consecutive days. High doses of paracetamol, including total dose values reached over a prolonged period of administration, can cause analgesic-induced nephropathy and irreversible liver failure.
During the entire treatment period, no other medicines containing paracetamol should be administered.
If symptoms persist after 5 days, treatment should be discontinued, and the patient should consult a doctor.
