Composition. The active substance is diclofenac sodium. One gram of gel contains 50 mg of diclofenac sodium. The other components are: isopropyl alcohol, macrogol-7-glycerol cocoate, hypromellose, purified water.
Therapeutic indications.
Diclofenac, the active substance of the compound, belongs to the group of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), which are used to reduce inflammation and pain in joints and muscles.
Dosage and method of administration.
Adults, adolescents and the elderly
Diclac is applied externally, in a thin layer, 2-3 times a day, to the affected area. To ensure skin absorption of the gel, a light and prolonged massage should be performed on the painful and/or inflamed area.
After each application, hands should be washed carefully (unless the gel is used for osteoarthritis located in the fingers).
Diclac can be applied in conjunction with iontophoresis. Diclac is applied to the negative pole (cathode) to promote skin penetration of the gel.
In cases of soft tissue injuries or abarticular rheumatism, the gel should not be used for more than 14 days. For arthritic pain, it should not be used for more than 21 days, except in strictly recommended cases.
Precautions.
Caution is required if you have bronchial asthma, hay fever, allergic rhinitis, nasal polyps, chronic obstructive respiratory diseases or chronic respiratory infections, or a history of allergy to other medicines.
The product should only be applied to intact, healthy skin, free from wounds or open lesions. It should not come into contact with eyes or mucous membranes and should not be ingested. If a skin rash appears after applying the gel, you should discontinue its use.
