Composition

The active substance is diclofenac diethylamine. One gram of gel contains 23.2 mg diclofenac diethylamine, corresponding to 20 mg diclofenac sodium. This medicine contains 50 mg propylene glycol and 0.2 mg butylhydroxytoluene per gram of gel. • Injuries to joints and muscles (e.g., sprains, strains, bruises, back pain, sports injuries). It rapidly relieves pain, including moderate to severe pain, improves patient mobility, and helps restore normal function.
• Tendinitis (e.g., tennis elbow), inflammation of the tendons around the elbow or knee.

Only adults (aged 18 years and over):

• Mild arthritis of the knees or fingers or in the spine.

Dosage and administration

For adults and adolescents aged 14 years and over:

Apply Voltaren Forte 2 times a day (morning and evening) to the painful area; pain relief lasts for a long period, up to 12 hours.

How to apply Voltaren Forte

1. Before first use, unseal the tube: unscrew the cap, then use the opposite side to fix, twist and remove the seal from the tube.
2. Gently massage a small amount of gel into the painful or swollen area until it penetrates the skin. The amount needed depends on the size of the painful or inflamed area; usually, an amount ranging from the size of a cherry to that of a walnut is required. You will feel a slight cooling sensation when massaging the gel until it penetrates the skin.
3. After application, hands should be washed, unless they are the treated area.

Voltaren Forte is indicated for cutaneous administration only.

Precautions

Do not apply the gel if you have skin lesions such as cuts, open wounds, or on skin with hives or eczema. If hives start to appear on the skin after applying the product, discontinue treatment.
