Biofen Extra by Biofarm is an over-the-counter medicine for adults, containing 10 film-coated tablets. Each tablet combines 400 mg ibuprofen and 325 mg paracetamol to relieve mild to moderate-severe pain. It is ideal for soothing joint, muscle, head, or dental pain, as well as managing fever, cold, and flu symptoms. Take one tablet 1 to 3 times daily, preferably after meals.
Description
BIOFEN EXTRA 400 mg/325 mg is indicated for adults for:
- relief of mild to moderately severe pain: osteoarticular (contusions, fractures, dislocations, sprains) including rheumatic (osteoarthritis, osteochondrosis, spondylosis, rheumatoid arthritis), myalgia, myositis, fibromyalgia, low back pain, headache, including migraine-type headache, dental pain, pharyngitis, dysmenorrhea;
-symptomatic treatment of fever and cold and flu.

Method of administration:
Adults
The recommended dose is 1 film-coated tablet 1-3 times a day, administered at intervals of at least 6 hours.
The maximum dose of BIOFEN EXTRA 400 mg/325 mg is 3 film-coated tablets (1200 mg ibuprofen, 975 mg paracetamol) in 24 hours.
The film-coated tablets should be swallowed whole, with a glass of water, preferably after a meal.
Children and adolescents
Not indicated for children and adolescents under 18 years of age.
Elderly
No dose adjustment is necessary, unless renal insufficiency, hepatic insufficiency, or a history of gastrointestinal bleeding after administration of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs is present; in this case, doses should be individualized.
