Anaftin Gel helps relieve pain caused by minor oral lesions such as those due to aphthous stomatitis, aphthous ulcers, as well as minor lesions caused by braces and dentures. It is also indicated for diffuse aphthous ulcers.
Mechanism of action: Anaftin Gel contains polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) and hyaluronic acid, which form a protective film that adheres to the oral cavity, protecting affected areas through a mechanical barrier and thus alleviating pain caused by exposed nerve endings. The hyaluronic acid and Aloe vera in its composition contribute to the natural healing of affected tissues.
Instructions for use: Apply 1 or 2 drops of gel to cover the entire area of the ulcer or oral lesion. Avoid direct contact between the applicator and the lesion. Do not touch the lesion with your tongue for at least 2 minutes to allow the protective film to form. After each application, replace the cap. For optimal results, avoid eating or drinking for at least one hour after applying the gel. Use 3 - 4 times a day or more often, if necessary.
Composition: Water, polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP), maltodextrin, propylene glycol, PEG-40 hydrogenated castor oil, xanthan gum, potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate, sodium hyaluronate, flavour, benzalkonium chloride, disodium EDTA, sodium saccharin, dipotassium glycyrrhizate, Aloe barbadensis.
Precautions: Each tube of Anaftin Gel should be used by only one patient to avoid cross-contamination of the applicator and the gel. The use of Anaftin Gel is contraindicated in patients with a known history of hypersensitivity reactions to any of the excipients. If you are pregnant, consult your doctor before using the product.
