ADVIL ULTRA FORTE 400MG X 10 SOFT CAPSULES

Composition. The active substance is ibuprofen. Each capsule contains 400 mg of ibuprofen. The other excipients are: Capsule contents: Macrogol 600, Potassium hydroxide 50%, consisting of: potassium hydroxide, purified water. Capsule: Gelatin 170 Bloom, Sorbitol liquid partially dehydrated (E 420), Purified water. Printing materials: Black ink containing: SDA 35A alcohol (a mixture of ethanol and ethyl acetate), Propylene glycol (E 1520), Black iron oxide (E 172), Polyvinyl acetophthalate (PVAP), Purified water, Isopropyl alcohol, Macrogol 400, Ammonium hydroxide (28%). Technological additives: Nitrogen Lecithin 4.5% in medium chain triglycerides Phosal ethanol solution: Phosal, Ethanol, Isopropyl alcohol.

Therapeutic indications. Advil Ultra Forte contains ibuprofen as the active substance, which belongs to the group of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (known as NSAIDs) and are used to relieve pain and reduce inflammation and fever.

Advil Ultra Forte 400 mg contains ibuprofen in liquid form, so absorption is at least twice as fast as with tablets. This leads to a rapid onset of the pain relief process, the effect being prolonged, up to 8 hours. The soft capsule contains a high dose of the active substance ibuprofen in liquid form, which is rapidly absorbed and, as a result, begins to take effect within a short period of time, approximately 10 minutes.

Advil Ultra Forte is used to relieve mild and moderate pain, osteoarticular and muscle pain (including tendinitis, bursitis, dislocations, sprains), as well as non-rheumatic joint pain, back pain, headaches, migraines (treatment and prevention), rheumatic pain, neuralgia, dental pain, dysmenorrhea, fever reduction and for the relief of cold and flu symptoms.

Dosage and method of administration. Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. You should talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

Adults, the elderly and adolescents over 12 years of age: 1 Advil Ultra Forte soft capsule (400 mg) up to three times a day, as needed. The next dose should not be taken less than 4-6 hours later. No more than 3 Advil Ultra Forte soft capsules (1200 mg) should be taken in 24 hours. Use in children

This medicine is not indicated for children under 12 years of age.

If you have kidney or liver failure, you should see your doctor before using Advil Ultra Forte.

Advil Ultra Forte can be used by patients with diabetes.

The capsules should be swallowed whole, with water.

Precautions. Before taking Advil Ultra Forte, talk to your doctor or pharmacist:

- if you are taking other medicines for pain and inflammation, including selective cyclooxygenase inhibitors.

- elderly patients should use this medicine with caution, as digestive side effects such as bleeding and perforation may occur.

- if you have suffered from gastrointestinal diseases (ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease), as these may worsen.

- stop taking the medicine and see your doctor if you have abdominal pain or notice blood in your vomit or stools (bowel movements) or if your stools are very dark in color during treatment with Advil Ultra Forte.

- if you are taking medicines that may increase the risk of ulcers or bleeding (e.g., oral glucocorticoids, anticoagulants such as warfarin, acetylsalicylic acid, antidepressant medicines - SSRIs).

- if you have heart problems, including heart failure, angina (chest pain) or if you have had a heart attack, bypass surgery, peripheral arterial disease (poor blood circulation in the legs due to narrowed or blocked arteries) or any type of stroke (including "mini-stroke" or transient ischemic attack "TIA").

- if you have suffered from high blood pressure and/or heart failure. - if you have diabetes or high cholesterol, if you have a family history of heart disease, stroke or are a smoker.

- stop taking the medicine and see your doctor if you experience the first signs of a serious allergic reaction, especially if you are allergic to acetylsalicylic acid, including: skin redness, rash, lesions on the mucous membranes or blisters.

- if you have just started treatment with Advil Ultra Forte or in the first month of treatment, very rarely serious adverse reactions of the skin and mucous membranes may occur, including StevensJohnson syndrome (which manifests as fever and blisters on the skin and mucous membranes) and toxic epidermal necrolysis (destruction of the skin under the action of the medicine).

- if you suffer from bronchial asthma, liver or kidney disease.

- if you suffer from a connective tissue disorder (so-called collagenosis).

If you are in any of the situations described above, you can only use this medicine after talking to your doctor.

Special warnings.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine. Pregnancy

The medicine is not recommended during pregnancy, especially in the first 3 months. It is contraindicated during the last 4 months of pregnancy.

Breastfeeding

Talk to your doctor before using Advil Ultra Forte while breastfeeding. If you are breastfeeding, you should not use Advil Ultra Forte.

Driving and using machines

Due to the side effects it can produce on the central nervous system (e.g., visual disturbances, dizziness, headache), ibuprofen may affect the ability to drive or operate machinery.

Advil Ultra Forte contains sorbitol (E 420). If your doctor has told you that you have an intolerance to certain sugars, please ask your doctor before taking/using this medicine.
