Description
Glycerin suppositories are used to facilitate defecation. For this purpose, they can be used after surgical interventions or before rectoscopy. Glycerin suppositories stimulate secretion at the level of the rectal mucosa and simultaneously trigger the defecation mechanism.
Dosage and method of administration
Glycerin suppositories are administered intrarectally. Usually, one suppository is used as needed.
In preparation for endoscopic examination of the rectum:
1 suppository 5-39 minutes before the scheduled time for the intervention
