GSK Orofar lozenges come in a package of 24 pieces with a pleasant orange smell and taste. Formulated with an antiseptic (benzoxonium chloride) and a local anesthetic (lidocaine hydrochloride), they help soothe mouth and sore throat pain associated with colds, pharyngitis, laryngitis, mouth ulcers, or inflamed gums by targeting bacteria, viruses, and fungi effectively.
Description
Orofar contains an antiseptic (benzoxonium chloride) and a local anesthetic (lidocaine hydrochloride)
It is used to destroy bacteria, viruses, and fungi that cause sore throat and infections of the throat and mouth, to relieve pain from an inflamed mouth and sore throat, sore throat associated with colds, pharyngitis or laryngitis (with or without swallowing difficulties), stomatitis, small mouth ulcers (canker sores), and inflamed gums.
It can be used as an adjuvant in the treatment of tonsillitis.
Directions for use:
Adults and children over 12 years old:
in case of mild to moderate infections: 1 lozenge every 2-3 hours
in case of severe infections: 1 lozenge every 1-2 hours
do not exceed 10 lozenges in a 24-hour period
Children between 6 and 11 years old:
1 lozenge every 2-3 hours, without exceeding a dose of 6 lozenges in 24 hours

Precautions:
Do not use Orofar if you are allergic to benzoxonium chloride, other quaternary ammonium compounds, lidocaine hydrochloride, other local anesthetic amides, or any of the other ingredients of this medicine. Orofar is not recommended for children under 6 years of age.
