To ripen and store it properly, it is recommended to leave it at room temperature for 2-4 days, even longer if the fruit remains firm. The ripening rate depends on the season and the ambient temperature. It is recommended to check it regularly.
When the avocado is ripe, its skin has a color from dark green to black, and the flesh is soft and has a light yellow color. The round seed in the middle of the fruit is not edible.
Use
Avocado can be eaten raw. Due to its creamy flesh and nutty flavor, ripe avocado fruit is suitable for salads, as well as for various spreads, sauces and other delicacies. It can also be used instead of butter in the preparation of fresh pastries.
Our tip: Prepare a quick guacamole recipe:
Mash the avocado flesh with a fork, add the juice of a lemon, season with salt and mix. Then cut the tomatoes, red onion and chili pepper into small pieces. Mix and add crushed garlic, to taste. Finally, add ground cumin and coriander to taste and mix.
