Zaganu Adonis Pale Ale Craft Beer 

We first created this craft beer in 2016, to celebrate the return to the Romanian skies after 80 years of the bearded vulture that inspired us. For the Adonis vulture, photographed by the Romanian Ornithological Society, we released this limited edition pale ale, and now it has become a staple beer in the Zaganu portfolio. Adonis Pale Ale has an intense taste, moderate bitterness, citrus notes and tropical fruits given by the 2 hops: one European hop (Mandarina Bavaria) and one American (Citra).

About the producer

Zaganu is an independent micro-brewery, 100% Romanian, founded in 2013 by Alexandru and Laurentiu, two young entrepreneurs.
Production is ensured by a small team of skilled locals from Maneciu commune, led by a master brewer. The micro-brewery is located at the foot of Zaganu peak in the Carpathian Mountains, near Cheia resort, in Maneciu-Ungureni village, Prahova county. Zaganu, both the mountain and the beer, bears the name of a majestic eagle species (the bearded vulture), hunted to extinction 100 years ago. The beer produced in this micro-brewery is called Zaganu and is a craft, unpasteurized beer, made only from ingredients easy to read and pronounce: water, malt, hops, and yeast.
