COLD

Cold symptoms usually begin with a sore throat, which disappears after a day or two. You might have nasal symptoms, a runny nose and congestion, along with a cough until the fourth or fifth day. Fever is unusual in adults, but a mild fever is possible. Cold symptoms usually last about a week.

FLU

Flu symptoms are usually more severe than cold symptoms and appear rapidly. Flu symptoms include sore throat, fever, headache, muscle aches and joint pain, congestion, and cough. Most flu symptoms gradually improve within two to five days, but it is not uncommon to feel run down for a week or more.
