Fucidin is applied to the skin, on the affected area (after washing and drying it), 3 ¿ 4 times a day. If you cover the infected skin area with a dressing, you may not need to use the medicine as frequently. A child's diaper can act as a dressing.

Always, before using Fucidin ointment, wash your hands. Apply the medicine to the infected skin area and massage gently. If the infected area is on the face, be careful to avoid contact with the eyes.
If you are not using the medicine for the treatment of hand infections, wash your hands after administration.
