Description
Strepsils Menthol is used as an adjuvant in the treatment of oro-pharyngeal infections when there are also symptoms of nasal congestion, promoting the relief of symptoms caused by them.

Contraindications:
Do not take Strepsils Menthol:
- if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to amylmetacresol, 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol and levomenthol or to any of the other ingredients of the medicine.

Driving and using machines:
Strepsils Menthol has no influence on the ability to drive and use machines.
Ingredients:
- The active substances are amylmetacresol 0.6 mg, 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol 1.2 mg and levomenthol 8 mg.
- The other ingredients are: tartaric acid, eucalyptus oil, indigotine (E 132), sugar, glucose.
Method of administration:
Always take Strepsils Menthol exactly as your doctor has told you. You should check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Dosage:
Adverse reactions can be minimized by using the lowest effective dose necessary to control symptoms, for the shortest possible duration.
The duration of treatment should not exceed 5 days as imbalances of the microbial flora in the oral cavity may occur, with the risk of bacterial or fungal infections.
Adults:
The recommended dose is one Strepsils Menthol lozenge every 2-3 hours; do not exceed 12 lozenges within a 24-hour period.
Paediatric population:
Children over 6 years of age: the recommended dose is similar to that for adults.
Children under 6 years of age:
Not recommended for children under 6 years of age.
Elderly:
No dose adjustment is necessary for this category of patients.
