Description
STREPSILS strawberry sugar-free is used as an adjuvant in the treatment of oro-pharyngeal infections, promoting the alleviation of symptoms caused by them.
Rapid (in 5 minutes) and long-lasting (up to 2 hours) relief of sore throat.

Contraindications:
Do not use STREPSILS strawberry sugar-free:
- if you are allergic to amylmetacresol and 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol or to any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Pregnancy, breastfeeding and fertility:

Driving and using machines:
STREPSILS strawberry sugar-free has no influence on the ability to drive or use machines.
Ingredients:
- The active substances are amylmetacresol and 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol. Each lozenge contains 0.6 mg amylmetacresol and 1.2 mg 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol.
- The other ingredients are: sodium saccharin, tartaric acid, liquid maltitol, isomalt, Flav P Strawberry 052312BK, Pink Antho P-WS 409179 (E163).
Method of administration:
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Dosage:
Adverse reactions can be minimized by using the lowest effective dose necessary to control symptoms, for the shortest possible duration. The duration of treatment should not exceed 5 days, as imbalances of the microbial flora in the oral cavity may occur, with the risk of bacterial or fungal infections.
Adults:
The recommended dose is one STREPSILS strawberry sugar-free lozenge every 2-3 hours; do not exceed 12 lozenges within a 24-hour period.
Paediatric population:
Children over 6 years of age: the recommended dose is similar to that for adults.
Children under 6 years of age:
Not recommended for children under 6 years of age, to avoid the risk of choking.
Elderly:
No dose adjustment is necessary for this category of patients.
