Action:
Smectite, due to its laminar structure and high viscosity, has a great ability to cover the intestinal mucosa. It increases the resistance of the mucus barrier by enhancing the quality and quantity of mucus on the surface of enterocytes (active mucoprotection). It binds digestive gases. It reduces intestinal hypersensitivity, restores the functional integrity of erythrocytes. It normalizes intestinal transit without interfering with peristalsis and without altering stool volume.
